    Ive added a user role and modified the “Admin Menu” access portion.

    I removed the ability to see posts.

    Now I want to add it back…those check boxes are not there.

    Role should have required capabilities in order you can see the related menu items in “Admin menu” – at least the ‘edit_posts’.
