how to assign a custom role as an author ?

Hello,

I created a custom role “Artisan”. As an admin, I want to be able to create a custom post type and assign a user with the role “Artisan” as author of this post but I only see admins and editors names in the box. I tried to give all capabilities to the role “Artisan” but even like that I don’t see his name.

How can i do ?

Turn on “deprecated” ‘level_0’, ‘level_1’, ‘level_2’ user capabilities for your custom role.
