Main category is deleted each time a specific role updates a post.

Hello,

For some reason, my custom role in charge of writing posts, when I select the main category “News” and click on “save” it does not save the category.

If for some case I select the main category “News” and some of the child categories of it, then it saves the child categories but not the main one.

This does not happen with other roles, only with this one.

What could this be due to?

Hi,

Try to define if some plugin is involved. Deactivate all plugins and test. If issue will go away, activate plugins back one by one with a new test to isolate a reason.
