Prevent User from seeing posts from other users

I’m sure this is possible but it doesn’t seem to be working for me using the view restrictions.

I have a custom post type and I want a specific role to only have access to create and edit their own custom posts without seeing any other posts by other users. I’ve got it so that the user can only create posts of this custom post type but can’t seem to prevent them viewing the other posts.

Hi,

Content view restrictions are about the front-end. In order to restrict the list of posts visible to a user at the back-end Posts lists, use edit restrictions “Own data only” option.
