Restrict a section in WPBakery to certain role

Trying to restrict a section in WPBakery using shortcodes after enabling it in the plugin settings like this https://www.role-editor.com/shortcode-content-view-access-restriction/.
Used text block element and raw html both didn’t work out..

[user_role_editor roles=”customer”]
some section
[/user_role_editor]

what might be the issue here?

Any help is much appreciated.. What is the right way to do so? I could manage to add the shortcode in classic mode, But once WPBakery is used on the same page again or any section gets updated it will ruin the shortcode or create a text block from the shortcode and section code which will become useless.
