Role to not Publish, but change to Pending Review

Hi. We want a role that can do everything for pages except Delete, Publish, and “Update” pages that area already Published. For example, a page that is Published, someone with this role can make suggested edits, and save them (maybe using the Pending Review so that Users with higher rights can use the Preview function. Is there a way to do this? Basically disallow the Update button? I tried turning off Create Page (which would be fine) BUT then when the user edits a page, it moves it from Publish to Pending Review, and we do not want to take the page down completely (we want to the old version to remain until a reviewer sees it and then that Admin Publishes the changes).

Hi,

It’s not possible within WordPress built-in page editing logic. Special plugin is needed for this purpose.
