An associate of ours has created two plug-ins and I’m trying to create a role that can log in and just access the two items in the sidebar menu. I’ve given them read access + access to the two plug-ins but the sidebar menu items are not showing up.
Activate “Admin menu access” add-on. Go to “Users->User Role Editor”, select “Administrator” role and click “Admin menu” butoon. Look what user capability is required for access to those menu items.
Add them to your role.
In the General tab I first had to activate “Show Administrator role at User Role Editor”. It was manage_options that is showing. I’ve added it but I have to go back and fix something else as when I log in as the user it is asking for a password for a page.
