    Any solution to this?

I can’t find what capability is needed to allow the searching.

I have even enabled everything for a role and still cannot search posts or custom post types. Can search categories fine but search posts and custom post types like WooCommerce products result in a redirection to the dashboard.

The only person that can search is super admin.

    Sorry, found it.

Jetpack settings. Needed to set which roles were allowed to see stats.

Ok, thanks for the help in working this out.

Now is this a reported bug, and if not how do I report bugs? Never found one before to report.

Scrap all that. The reason why I was getting confused over which was which was because of the way I was doing it.

If I change the role via the drop down at the top of the list. It works. If I change it using the drop list at the bottom, that’s when I get the error.

So next question, is this a URE bug or a WordPress bug?

I don’t know if you understood.

I am not trying to add a role that isn’t on the subsite already. In fact, I am only trying to change to a default WordPress role.

So as a Super Admin I go into Network Admin, Sites and edit a subsite, go to users and try to change a user from Author to Editor then I get the error.

If I go into that subsites admin page, then users and change it there it works.

Just been trying to solve it.

So under a clean installation of WordPress and URE Pro, I can’t change a user’s role from Sites section, but I can go into the subsites admin and under users, I can change it there.

Why is it that a Super Admin can’t change the user role from the Sites section?

    I understand what your saying.

In terms of the redirects, the htaccess already rewrites it all. I already get 93 and under 3 sec load on oranamodels.

I did find a difference with my old site that fixes it thou. I turned on the option in domain mapping, that redirects all admin pages back to the original domain instead of using the mapped domain.

Setting this for me is a much better solution.

It may not be a widespread issue right now, but I think as more people start using dev and staging sites for workflow it will become more of an issue in future.

Thanks for the help in finding the issue. I can now continue with getting customers access.

    Is there anything other way?

If I do that it would mean alot of extra work scanning and replacing database values to make it work with the dev and staging servers.

Also this problem wasn’t there before. This site is a rebuild and the old one I never changed the site URL ever, yet didn’t have this issue with ure.

    Just sent them then.

Also just note that only the oranamodels site us live at this stage and I am the only active user as well.

Would it be easier to login for yourself? Only thing is it is a live site, but I only have access at this stage (till I get this bug fixed). And I will have to make any changes back into develop branch so I can push thru Github properly.

Same result. I think something is happening (or not) before changing anything.

I noticed when I went to the page, human readable was off (I have it on by default), and when I tried changing it same thing happened. And never got anything in the array.

I do still think it has to do with the URL. Dev and staging both use the staging.eangulus.com/oranamodels/ format while the main has the mapped domain and redirects the sub Directory to the mapped domain.

I noted the only difference above but forgot to mention that the domain mapping has all domain info on all 3 sites, but is set as primary domain only in the master for obvious reasons.

    1. Yes. I have tried. I only have 2 custom roles and have tried also changing to Editor Administrator etc.

    2. Yes. That’s the plugin I use, but also found a similar issue regarding URL’s with WP Legal Pages. They had a drop list that was populating with the Network address instead of the mapped domain, which caused issues with the cookies.’

    3. Done. Result: Array ( )

    Just think I found something.

I tried testing with ClouFlare in Dev mode and using Chrome Icognito to eliminate cache issues.

The URL for the page is here: https://oranamodels.com/wp-admin/users.php?page=users-user-role-editor-pro.php

I logged in and changed the role ready to edit.

I was then asked to sign in again, but the URL this time was:
    https://eangulus.com/oranamodels/wp-login.php?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Feangulus.com%2Foranamodels%2Fwp-admin%2Fusers.php%3Fpage%3Dusers-user-role-editor-pro.php&reauth=1

I am using Multisite with Domain Mapping, I didn’t expect that page to use the eangulus.com domain.
