This post shows how to provide access to the WordPress plugin created menu using User Role Editor. An example uses Smart Slider 3 WordPress plugin. Smart Slider creates its own user capabilities set:
In order to provide access to this plugin you need to add those capabilities to the user role. For example, let’s create new custom user role with access to the Smart Slider 3 functionality. We will use User Role Editor for that:
1) create new role ‘smart’ as a copy of ‘subscriber’ role:
2) Add all user capabilities to this new role.
