hmmmm, I was having issues upgrading to 4.14.4 on my multisite install as well. It was giving me the error that it couldn’t write to a temporary file.
I tried it 3 times and it worked on the 3rd time…and I didn’t change anything…so maybe it was a server issue.
Either way just thought I’d chime in.
